July 1, 2015 through September 30, 2015 Behind each name there is a powerful story … stories of what motivates people to support HRMC. Whether they are remembering loved ones, appreciating their own experience with HRMC, supporting the health of their friends and neighbors or wanting to ensure high-quality healthcare is always available close to home, their story is uniquely theirs. That's why it is so gratifying to see the number of donor and sponsor names on these pages. These names represent the stories that keep us going and inspire us to work even harder to be a beacon of rural healthcare. I thank you – all of you – for your support! Spotlight on A Board Member … and Golfer For HRMC Foundation board member Angie Uttecht, the annual Humanitarian Golf Tournament is a fun way to spread the word about Huron Regional Medical Center's top-quality care. Angie Uttecht, broker-owner at Ace Realty, has been involved with the HRMC Foundation for many years and serves on the board as a way to give back to the hospital that has taken care of her family so many times. Uttecht recalls relying on the HRMC emergency room when her children were young. "As a young mother racing to the hospital with sick kids, it's important that you have a great facility really close to home," says Uttecht. "In those situations, you don't want to drive a block farther than you have to." Spreading the Word "The golf tournament is a fun event and a great way to get community members together to support a great cause," says Uttecht. "It's something people love to participate in, which drives up attendance, and the more money we can raise for the hospital, the better." Uttecht hopes the tournament also helped to get the message out of just how much the hospital can do for the community. "The Foundation, as I see it, is the biggest cheerleader of the hospital," Uttecht says. "The more aware we can make people of all the great things the hospital offers, the better. We reach a lot of people in the golf tournament each year."
