Mark your calendars for our celebration Sept. 14, 2016, when CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System will mark 100 years of service to Texarkana and the surrounding communities. Submit your stories online at christusstmichael.org/shareyourstory. 2015 was an outstanding year for CHRISTUS St. Michael as we opened the region's only Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, continued to grow with the breast cancer patient navigation program, earned designation as a Lung Cancer Screening Center and launched the Lung Nodule Program. Additionally, CHRISTUS St. Michael received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association's Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award with Target: Stroke SM Honor Roll and was recognized for outstanding stroke care performance in three categories by the Arkansas Stroke Registry Team. We all know that emergency room visits should not be considered a substitute for regular appointments with your primary health care provider.
