A s we give thanks for our daily blessings, please take a moment to consider helping a special group of children at risk of weekend hunger. The Food Angels program provides nutritious weekend meals to those K–4 Century Elementary students in need of a helping hand. Your donation inspires hope and relief to children, parents, grandparents, friends and even co-workers. With your support, the Food Angels program makes all the difference to kids in need. F ew events get the community more excited about giving back than our annual golf benefit, and this year's 15th annual event will be no exception. Scheduled for June 1 at Blueberry Pines Golf Club in Menahga, the Gathering on the Greens Golf Benefit will host 36 teams as they drive and putt for wonderful prizes in generous support of a worthy cause. This year's event will benefit CHI St. Joseph's Health Foundation, Hospice Care, scholarship fund, and other vital projects and programs that are key to the continued growth of health care in the areas we are privileged to serve. "This is one of our most highly anticipated events each year," says Sonja Day, Director of CHI St. Joseph's Health Foundation. "And that says a lot about the community and their investment in local health care." Not a golfer? There are still plenty of ways to get involved in this great event. Consider sponsoring, donating a gift that may serve as a prize for winning teams, or volunteering. For more information, call Sonja Day at 218.616.3383 or email SonjaDay@CatholicHealth.net.
