From the CEO DEAR FRIENDS, Rhea Medical Center's meaningful place at the heart of the community seems to be a frequent theme throughout this issue of Better Living. Our role in the community comes into sharp focus during a medical crisis. In this issue, we have one woman's dramatic story about how our teams in the emergency department and ICU were there for her at a crucial moment. We also want to share information about RMC's state-of-the-art breast cancer detection services. On the lighter side, we're highlighting RMC's community programs that offer fun ways to get involved. And, since summer means fun, see the article on this page for some healthy tips for the outdoors and the grill. We are continually grateful to our community members for allowing us to serve their medical needs. We offer a heartfelt "thank you" for the trust you place in RMC.
