As Long Island's first wound care center, and currently the only New York State hospital to hold The
Joint Commission's Disease-Specific Care Certification for wound care, South Nassau's experienced
wound care physicians are highly successful treating nonhealing wounds.
Whether your patient's wound is related to diabetes, poor circulation or disease, we're here to get
your patients back on their feet.
The Wound Care Center:
• Utilizes a case management approach to care; our staff coordinates a variety of services, including home care,
wound supplies, transportation and DME products
• Provides a multispecialty team of physicians and nurses who have extensive knowledge in wound care management
• Offers advanced wound care therapies to help patients heal faster
At South Nassau, we partner with the physicians who refer patients to our Center. We collaborate on a wound care
treatment plan while you continue to manage your patient's underlying medical condition and overall care.
Nonhealing wounds require exceptional care — and your patients will get it at South Nassau's Wound Care Center.
