INCLUDE YOUR RECIPE IN JEWISH COOKBOOK The Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit is in search of local authors for its Annual Jewish Book Fair to be held in November. Books should be written by Jewish authors and/or have Jewish content, must have a Michigan connection and must have been published in 2015 or 2016. Fiction, nonfiction, poetry, cookbooks and more will be considered, as will self- published material. Those whose works are selected to be included will have the opportunity to participate in an event for local authors and will have their books available for sale at the Book Fair. The deadline for submissions is July 15, 2016. For submis- sion guidelines, contact Sarah Gottlieb at bubesarah@aol.com. * LOCAL AUTHORS SOUGHT FOR JEWISH BOOK FAIR Jewish Senior Life is calling for sub- missions of favorite recipes from local folks for consideration to be pub- lished in a forthcoming community cookbook showcasing the flavors of Detroit's Jewish community. The cookbook will be created and designed by Jewish Senior Life and sold at its Third Annual Jeffrey Zaslow Media Night this coming fall. Media Night 2016 will feature Food Network star Duff Goldman. Proceeds from cookbook sales will benefit programming for older adults served by Jewish Senior Life. Submit your favorite recipe to rep- resent your family in our communal cookbook. Send submissions to Leslie Katz at lkatz@jslmi.org; call (248) 592-5062 for information. Submission deadline is Sept. 1. Submissions are welcome for cover designs as well. *
