ourish during the summer,
oering sweet splendor to any
plate. While traditionally served
cool and crisp, these items can
also oer a feast of avor when
drizzled with a little honey and
sizzled on the grill. Plus, they are
lled with vitamin C to boost
your immune system. This dish
is easy to prepare and sure to
be a crowd-pleaser at your next
summer fete. Feel free to mix it up
where ingredients are concerned,
and have fun!
Fresh cuts of beef and llets of salmon
aren't the only things you can toss on the
grill this summer. Fruit is delicious with a
little bit of heat and packed with vitamins
and minerals to fuel the entire family.

Fruit Skewers
INGREDIENTS MAKES 8 SERVINGS
2 nectarines, sliced into thick pieces
2 peaches, cubed
1 pineapple, cut into chunks
10 strawberries, halved
½ cup honey
1 tsp chili powder

DIRECTIONS
1. Gather fruit and thread each piece
onto a skewer. Find out if guests at your
gathering have certain preferences
or fruit allergies and tailor each
skewer accordingly.
2. Sprinkle chili powder into the honey and
stir to evenly distribute the seasoning.
3. Using a brush, coat the fruit with the
honey glaze.
4. Preheat grill on high heat.
5. Let fruit marinate in seasoning for about
30 minutes.
6. Place skewers on the grill and let them
cook about two minutes on each side.
