Tarca Construction ARCHITECT: Jerry Johnson Landscape Architect: Dana Schock & Assoc. "Another home in Hopkinton is part of our well-known Cranberry Cove project, which was developed in 2002–2003 and designed by architect Jerry Johnson from Dallas. Jerry was instrumental in bringing the architectural style to New England," Ed says. "We liked it so much that we built an entire street in that style, except for the project mentioned above, which was the only one with the wood, shingle and stone components. All other homes in Cranberry Cove have brick, stone and ornamental features outside and wrought iron and natural woods inside. The special glazing, wine cellars and architectural features all come from the Dallas area. The owners of this house were from the United Kingdom, so they requested a decidedly Old World flavor in this project. The lower level has a large bar for entertaining, and most strikingly European is the imported snooker table, which is larger than the traditional American billiards table. Bright lighting was installed directly over the snooker table, which worked very well with the more subdued lighting that surrounded it. Since one of the homeowners is a wine collector, we built the wine cellar to house some 3,000 bottles. An Old World wine tasting area is separated by insulated glass and contemporary wood. There is also a brick and stone screened porch with a copper roof, and a swimming pool."
