JEREMY SIMMONS, MDIV JEREMY SIMMONS, MDIV Partners for Better Health Spiritual care at Columbus Regional Healthcare System is possible thanks to the CRHS Foundation and to a partnership with Carolinas HealthCare System. Our chaplain, Jeremy Simmons, MDiv, serves as a resident in the Clinical Pastoral Education program. This program provides support for Simmons while CRHS patients, families and staff benefit from his education and experience. "Just as Simmons is sharing resources from Carolinas HealthCare, we're learning from CRHS," says Reverend David Carl, executive director of spiritual care and education at Carolinas HealthCare and Simmons' administrative and clinical supervisor. "It's a mutual opportunity made possible by the astuteness of the leadership team at CRHS, as well as the willingness of the clinicians to ensure that patients receive holistic care." WE KNOW YOUR FAITH MATTERS TO YOU. THANKS TO OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH CAROLINAS HEALTHCARE SYSTEM, SPIRITUAL CARE AT COLUMBUS REGIONAL HEALTHCARE SYSTEM PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR PATIENTS OF ALL FAITHS. Anyone experiencing an inpatient stay at a hospital counts on excellent medical care from trained physicians and staff. Attending to the spiritual and emotional needs that come along with a hospital stay is just as important. "When patients are facing a crisis, spirituality can be a powerful coping mechanism," says Jeremy Simmons, MDiv, chaplain at CRHS. "It's vital to have a trained spiritual care provider to help patients navigate through events that are life-changing. Spiritual care is important in a hospital setting because it provides an opportunity for a holistic approach to care." SPIRITUAL HEALING fo Everyone fo Everyone Mor a Hpita 4 CRHEALTHCARE.ORG
