Jeontaik (John) Kwon, MD, RPVI, has joined the vascular surgery team at MidHudson Regional Hospital. Dr. Kwon has a clinical interest in complex endovascular vein treatments, thoracic outlet syndrome and reduction of wound complications following vascular surgery. Dr. Kwon joins MidHudson Regional Hospital following a two-year fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He completed his internship and residency at Thomas Jefferson/Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, Pennsylvania, where he was honored with both the patient safety award and chief resident award. Dr. Kwon is a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, Eastern Vascular Society, and Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Society. Dr. Kwon earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in biomedical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. He received his MD from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York. Helen Hayes Hospital (HHH) in West Haverstraw, New York, is pleased to welcome two new Clinical Liaisons to the hospital staff. The Clinical Liaisons help facilitate the admission process to HHH from outside facilities and are available to answer questions about our hospital's rehabilitation programs, insurance coverage, admission criteria, and other concerns for patients and their families. Christopher Gaughan, RN, BSN, will serve as a Clinical Liaison for the Manhattan area. Gaughan has been a practicing nurse on medical/surgical units in acute hospitals for several years. He earned his BSN, cum laude, from Dominican College and his BFA in graphic design from RIT. Ann O'Brien, LCSW, will serve as a Clinical Liaison for the Bronx and Manhattan. O'Brien has worked as a clinical social worker in both pediatric and adult care settings for the past 10 years. She has experience in Level I trauma care, working closely with intensive care patients. She earned her Master's degree in social work from New York University. Crystal Run Healthcare is pleased to announce that Jeffrey M. Stewart, MD, and Joanne LaLanne, ANP-BC, formerly of Hudson Valley Hematology-Oncology Associates, joined its multispecialty group medical practice as of Oct. 3, 2016. Dr. Stewar t earned his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa. He is board-cer tified in hematology, medical oncology, bone marrow transplant and internal medicine and completed fellowship training in medical oncology, hematology and bone marrow transplant at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center at the University of South Florida in Tampa. LaLanne earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Western Connecticut State University. She is a board-cer tified nurse¢practitioner. HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), is pleased to announce that Michael Moscowitz, MD, has joined HealthAlliance Hospital in Kingston as a general surgeon. Dr. Moscowitz earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania and completed his medical and surgical studies at the Chicago Medical School of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. He completed his residency program at New Jersey's Morristown Medical Center. Dr. Moscowitz provides evaluation and treatment for a full range of general surger y conditions, including trauma and emergency surger y, and has exper tise in the latest minimally invasive¢techniques. Dr. Murage earned her MD from State University of New York at Buffalo and completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn.
