WHS Police have received a significant amount of training enabling them to competently respond and address security calls on our campus. Each officer completed this extensive training. Washington Hospital has historically maintained an on-site security staff for the protection of individuals who work, visit or are patients at our Hospital. Over the past year, we have taken steps to qualify our staff as WHS Police in response to the changing environment that exists in our surrounding area. Several of the current staff members have previous law enforcement or military experience. e additional training allows our force to respond to the sometimes difficult requirements of the job and provide the highest possible level of safety to our patients, visitors, staff and neighbors in the community.
