A W O R D from the CEO 02 | | Spring 2015 American Airlines Federal Credit Union recognizes that you don't always have time to stop by one of our branches — though we will be opening our 44th and 45th locations in Phoenix, Ariz., this summer. That's why we are always looking for new and exciting ways to make your member experience with us easier and more convenient. Some of our current conveniences for members-on-the-go include our handy smartphone apps and our mobile deposit option allowing you to make deposits simply by photographing a check on your smartphone. But this summer, we're particularly excited about a new arrival touching down at the Credit Union — our beautiful, intuitive and even more member-friendly online banking platform, including new mobile and tablet apps! You can read about many of the new improvements for users on Page 10, but one of my favorites has to be our new family banking option that allows members to not only view all of the accounts they have ownership of, including joint accounts, but also to allow certain levels of access for other family members or trusted advisors. If, for example, you are not joint owner on an account of an aging parent, they can set you up as a user with restrictions for what functions you are able to access. Another feature we're certain members are going to be excited about is our new process for paying other people. Whether you're paying someone back for lunch, compensating the babysitter for a job well done or making sure your kids get their allowance, you will soon be able to transfer the funds electronically whether the recipient is a Credit Union member-owner or not. Believe me, with two boys in college, making sure they have enough for books, school incidentals or even spending money, is about to get a whole lot easier for me, and I'm certain our members will enjoy the experience, as well. Watch for more communications from us regarding the many improvements in store for our members, and, if you haven't signed up for online banking, there's never been a better time.
