Its care centers include the Dyson Center for Cancer Care, located at Vassar Brothers Medical Center; the Breast Care Center, located at Northern Dutchess Hospital; and the Wagner Cancer Pavilion, located at Putnam Hospital Center. Physicians typically perform major surgeries at one of the three hospitals, and the 10 offices of Health Quest Medical Practice provide consulta- tions, outpatient procedures and follow-up care in patients' communities. Those with a family history of breast, colon, endometrial, ovarian or pancreatic cancers or melanoma may receive genetics counseling and risk assessments. Patients have access to a wealth of diagnostic services — including dedicated breast imaging, image-guided biopsies and interventional radiologic procedures — and sophisticated treatment techniques such as da Vinci robotic surgery, infusion therapy, minimally invasive colorectal surgery and TomoTherapy. Following an individually tailored plan of the three major cancer therapies — surgery, medical oncology and radiation oncology — patients are assisted through recovery with rehabilitative therapies such as lymphedema management and physical therapy, as well as nutritional counseling, a resource library and PHOTOS © DON DEMPSEY, WHITE LIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY SPECIAL CLINICAL SECTION: ONCOLOGY
