WIDE-REACHING EXPERTISE Beverly Knight Olson Children's Hospital, Navicent Health is the only comprehensive children's hospital in our central and south Georgia region. The fleet of pediatric ambulances travel more than 1,000,000 miles in their three-year lifespan. The new facility will contain a Pediatric Emergency Center and Observation Unit on the first floor, along with Radiology and Imaging Services. The addition of the new tower will more than double the square footage to 160,000 square feet devoted to pediatric services. The tower will include a new Pediatric Surgical Center, consisting of operating rooms, outpatient procedure rooms, as well as pre and post operating patient rooms. The new tower will include 2 floors dedicated to the care of some of the smallest patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. BREAKING NEW GROUND Beverly Knight Olson Children's Hospital, Navicent Health will construct a new tower on the corner of Pine and Spring streets to provide more state-of-the-art treatment options to patients. It costs $40,194,019 annually for Beverly Knight Olson Children's Hospital, Navicent Health to care for patients, of which approximately 70 percent are on Medicaid. Additionally, $1.1 million is given in pediatric charity care every year. Highly- trained clinicians treat children from almost every county in Georgia and states across the country. The Children's Hospital employs more than 40 board- certified pediatric specialists. The pediatric residency program has trained more than 90 pediatricians.
