CRNIC GRAND CHALLENGE GRANTS
The Linda Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome will announce
its 2018 grant recipients, supporting scientific research
at the University of Colorado to further understand the
syndrome and to reduce adverse consequences. The
program has awarded nearly $8 million in the last five years.

Global Down Syndrome Foundation's Third Annual
Self-Advocate Employment Initiative Grants
empower local Down syndrome organizations to
hire individuals with Down syndrome. Applications

EDUCATIONAL GRANTS
The annual Global Educational Grants provide
funding to member Down syndrome organizations
for new or existing educational programs.
Applications open in March and are due in
May. Grants will be awarded in amounts up to
$10,000 each, and winners will be announced
at the 2018 National Down Syndrome Congress

Observed on March 21 every year, World Down
Syndrome Day has been officially observed
by the United Nations as a global awareness
day since 2012. Held on 3/21 to represent the
three copies of chromosome 21, World Down
Syndrome Day is celebrated in 190 countries.
