They are state of the art in building science from the ground up: design, engineering, energy analysis, and construction. I enjoyed learning from Nick and putting this issue together. Not only do his homes save a lot of energy, but you live a healthier life because of the improved air quality due to the home bringing in fresh air to all the rooms. Imagine no dust and pollutants. Nick is retrofitting an old building to a Passive Office, which will have a classroom to teach architects, homeowners, and builders how to build High-Performance homes. Auburndale Builders is a builder who has completed construction of a Passive House, a Net-Zero house, and a Passive Office. Nick is dedicated to High-performance building and educating the trades, architects, and homeowners. After being around Nick for more than a month, I have learned a lot.
