STEPHANIE AND DEL GOFORTH have supported Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital for nearly two decades. They are donors, civic leaders in numerous organizations and, like so many others, grateful parents. Their family's philanthropic passion has contributed to the mission of Johns Hopkins All Children's in many ways, from supporting the building of the new hospital to the development of a vital pediatric rehabilitation program. As an active trustee since 2004, Stephanie is a voice of advocacy and support for patients and families. As philanthropic leaders, the Goforths believe in continuous and increased giving to pediatric health care. Stephanie leads the annual Financial Planning Seminar hosted by Johns Hopkins All Children's, and both participate in their employer's gift matching program. This year, they have committed to doubling their previous gift to the Foundation and developed a program called the Double Down Challenge to inspire others to do the same. When individuals or family foundations who gave $1,000– $5,000 to Johns Hopkins All Children's Foundation in the past three years—a group known as Children's Champions level donors—double their gift, the Goforths will match the increase. Here is how it works: If you gave $1,000 in the past three years, donate $2,000 this year and the Goforth family will match the $1,000 increase, up to $50,000. Gifts may be made to the Johns Hopkins All Children's Foundation for the areas of greatest need or designated for a specific program or department. The Goforths' match will follow your designation, doubling the impact to that program. The Double Down Challenge began Sept. 1, 2017, and ends Dec. 31, 2017. For more information, contact Taylor Traviesa, senior program officer, at 727-767-4105 or taylor.traviesa@jhmi.edu. A Successful Challenge The Stahl Family Circle of Care Challenge proved a big success. The family, which previously committed $250,000 to the pediatric biorepository and generously supported the Research and Education Building, challenged donors to join the Circle of Care, a Johns Hopkins All Children's Foundation annual giving level of $10,000 or more. The Stahls pledged to match new $10,000 gifts between Nov. 1, 2016, and June 30, 2017. The challenge resulted in 14 new members of what now is called the Arch of Hope and $296,563 to support children's health. Thank you to the Stahls and their ongoing to commitment to supporting the hospital's mission. Del Goforth, left, Stephanie Goforth and their son Alexander support Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital and hope to inspire others. Double Your Impact When You Double Your Gift Through the generosity of the Goforth family, Johns Hopkins All Children's Foundation donors have a chance to increase the impact of their gifts. 22 Johns Hopkins All Children's Foundation | GiveToAllKids.org ■ Call to Action
