Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital
Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital has launched a study to determine whether genetic markers can be used to help identify children who are at risk of developing autism. The study is designed to confirm the predic- tive value of established genetic markers and is a follow-up to retrospective studies that have been completed.
Hillcrest Hospital has been designated a
Baby-Friendly birth facility for its commit- ment to educating women about the benefits and management of breastfeeding, support- ing optimal infant nutrition and promoting mother-baby bonding. It is the first east side facility in Greater Cleveland and among 147 hospitals and birth centers nationwide to receive this recognition.
Lakewood Hospital received the Gold
Plus Quality Achievement Award for Stroke Care from the American Heart Association/ American Stroke Association. The award recognizes Lakewood's commitment and success in delivering a higher standard of care and ensuring that patients consistently receive treatment in line with nationally accepted guidelines.
Marymount Hospital has been recognized
by the Joint Commission as a "Top Performer on Key Quality Measures." Marymount earned the designation based on performance related to four accountability measures: heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care. This is the first time Marymount Hospital has earned this distinction.
