Matthew Account Manager In Partnership With True North Custom Dear Friends, The holiday season is on the horizon, which means it's the perfect time to reconnect with family and friends. While the temperatures may dip outdoors, the kitchen is always a warm place to gather. Spend time with your family making the pumpkin soup recipe found on page 15. As we move into the winter months, flu season is upon us. This issue of Community provides ways to keep your family healthy and happy through the new year with some helpful tips on page 6. In "The Flu and a Wiser You" on page 13, flu prevention and early vaccination take center stage for warding off illness. Colder months may also lead to more joint pain than usual, which makes it the best time to learn more about total joint replacement at CHI St. Luke's–The Vintage Hospital. Our new Total Joint Replacement Program not only focuses on joint replacement surgery, but also prepares each patient during presurgery with interactive classes and opportunities to meet with the surgical team ahead of time, and sets patients up for postsurgery recovery success from the comfort of their own homes. You can find more details on page 4 about The Center for Orthopedic Health at The Vintage Hospital. From all of us at The Vintage Hospital, may this season bring you and your family magical holiday moments and good health into the new year. Roland Cruickshank, FACHE President, CHI St. Luke's Health– The Vintage Hospital
