It was the largest new board slate for Kadima in recent history. "Kadima is in a pivotal and excit- ing time," says Kadima Executive Director Eric Adelman. "The past couple of years have been about reorganization and creating a stron- ger foundation. This has been done while also rebranding and creating a much greater presence in the com- munity. Now is the time for strategic growth and development. We are thrilled to have so many incredible new board members to help Kadima serve more individuals with mental health challenges and their families for many years to come." New board members include Rabbi Yoni Dahlen, Harold Dubrowsky, Michael Graub, Andrea LaFontaine, Neal Lepsetz, Jonathan Modiano, Kacee Must and Eric Wizenberg. • At the Kadima board orientation Kosher Questions Answered If you've ever wondered if your Slurpee is kosher, you may find the answer in the new series "OU & YOU," a partner- ship between the Orthodox Union (OU) and Kosher.com. "OU & YOU" is an informative resource that answers questions peo- ple frequently ask, especially at differ- ent times of the year. Hosted by Rabbi Moshe Elefant, COO of OU Kosher, along with content from other kashrut authorities at the OU, the series is accessible to all at kosher.com and OU Kosher. It is comprised of short videos (most under 2 minutes), audio pro- grams and articles. "We're delighted to present 'OU & YOU' to the public," said Rabbi Elefant. "We believe the series will be a help- ful resource to anyone with ques- tions about the rules of law regarding kosher food, cooking and lifestyle. We hope the series will encourage knowl- edgeable people, as well as those who are just learning, to navigate through all aspects of Jewish living." • Limmud Launches "Something For Everyone" Initiative Limmud North America has received a multiyear, six-figure challenge grant to launch its ambitious "Something For Everyone" (SFE) initiative. SFE aims to expose new audiences to innovative Jewish learning by increasing involvement of under-engaged families, young adults and others, thereby attracting a broad cohort of new volunteers. SFE will be piloted in a number of American cities holding Limmud events in 2018 with the aspiration of broadening the initiative to other countries in the future. "Something For Everyone is about Limmud opening its doors to every- one and expanding the Jewish hori- zons of individuals, volunteers and communities," said Limmud Chief Executive Eli Ovits. Families and young adults often have difficulty accessing Limmud's multi-generational festivals because of cost. Through the ongoing devel- opment of national philanthropic and organizational partnerships, and through local Limmud commu- nities, SFE will provide subsidies to and targeted programming for fami- lies and young adults. American Limmud communities will be eligible for SFE grants to bol- ster scholarships, marketing, recruit- ment and programming. For more information on Something For Everyone, contact Eli Ovitz at sfe@limmud.org. •
