Honoring Excellence In October, CHI Mercy Health's Corporate Responsibility Program committee honored two employees who have gone above and beyond to fulfill the CHI Mercy mission. "Two people really stood out when the committee gathered for our September meeting," says Cindy Fischer, CHC, Corporate Responsibility Officer with CHI Mercy Health. "Matt Sprague and Mandy Chase exemplify employees who are true to the mission of CHI and our core values of reverence, integrity, compassion, and excellence. They demonstrate how each employee can have a strong effect on the health of our community." A Medical Laboratory Technician, Matt was nominated for the award by his Manager, Susan Kringlie, Infection Control Practitioner at CHI Mercy Health. "I wanted to recognize Matt for his diligence in reviewing the pathology billing and identifying tests to be added to the charge master list of items for which the hospital is billing," Susan says. "He helps ensure that numbers are accurate, which is of critical importance." A Pharmacy Technician, Mandy was nominated by her Manager, Camille Settelmeyer, Vice President of Clinical Services at CHI Mercy Health. "Mandy has been so helpful as an interim leader when the pharmacy director was out for a leave of absence," Camille says. "She stepped into the leadership role and helped make things run smoothly. She's done a great job." Mandy Chase, Pharmacy Technician; Keith Heuser, President; and Matt Sprague, Medical Laboratory Technician
