product we work on in Urban Exploration, the activity is the same, but the juxtaposition of both environments is really appealing to me. Le Chameau Benjamin Chapuis, Lead Designer Consumers today want per- formance, style and some urban sensibility in their gar- ments. How do you deliver? Le Chameau has built its repu- tation of excellence for the past 90 years and was founded on the idea to fulfill the hunters', farmers' and professional fishermen's need with regard to the terrain and environment the products are intended for. Our products are handcrafted, made with pride by a single master bootmaker from beginning to end. Our secret rubber recipe has been enhanced through the years. While urban life has become more and more harass- ing, people want to go to the countryside for fresh air or to enjoy their passions. There are two great trends we believe in: "back to nature" and the fact that buying qual-ity prod- ucts is much more rewarding. Design wise, my inspiration comes from nature, simplicity and efficiency of lines and materials. What's new for Fall 2018 and where did you garner inspiration? The AW18 range was inspired by our 90th anni- versary year and I've developed an even more exclu-sive and luxurious range of our most iconic products. Which Fall product do you love? For our innovative Condor range, with Michelin, we have created a great outsole that is rugged and high performing. The premium leather range is as good as our competitor's in terms of traction and durability, but 30 percent lighter and more comfortable. What's your favorite outdoor sport or activity? My favorite activity is being out there in nature, whether in the country, forest or at sea. Kari Traa Johanna Hills-Johnes, Head Designer Consumers today want perfor- mance, style and some urban sensibility in their garments. How do you deliver? As a brand for and by women, we have a unique take on sportswear. Our products are fitted and shaped to a feminine body with the needs of a woman in our mind. We follow our consumers closely and see their engagement in our social media. Our target girl is an urban active woman with style, therefore we need to stay on top of it. What's new for Fall 2018 and where did you garner inspiration? We found inspiration in our core values — hap- pier, heartier and stronger. We also went to New York City to get some urban inspiration and explore people-watching and the mixture of Europe and North America. We also use WGSN. What's new is the expansion of the baselayer line. We have extended it with new Merino styles and new synthetic styles. We have great new colorways. Which Fall product do you love? My favorite this year is Yndling 100 percent superfine Merino wool baselayer. The retro lines and the bold blockings make it a great piece for cold days. What's your favorite outdoor sport or activity? Downhill skiing in the winter and kite surfing in the summer.
