RENOVATION IN WESTON, MASS. "Another gem of a design by Lincoln Architects. This historic home in a historic district was built in the early 1900s, on Boston Post Road. Because of the area and the smaller lot, we needed planning-board approval, which we — along with legal assistance from Nolan & Nolan, whom we've used exclusively for years — were able to obtain. The traditional design of the original structure was transformed into a modern family home with open spaces but with much of the character of the original house. We installed all new wiring, mechanicals, insulation, windows and framing. The real beauty of this project is that the house looks like it was built 80 years ago but functions like a new home. The basement was renovated with a real pub feel and includes a wine room, a tasting room, a full sauna , a small exercise room and even a wood-burning pizza oven."
