Currex's Run Pro, MSRP $49.95, are insoles available in multiple profiles — low, medium and high. Deep heel cups make for a better in-shoe fit and the insoles offer optimum moisture wicking and fewer blisters thanks to a specially developed mid-layer. Each insole boasts a different shape, arch height and flex, allowing for a customized fit for each unique foot shape The SOLE Cork with Met Pad footbed, MSRP $55, features a metatarsal pad for added forefoot support and natural cork, making it environmentally sustainable, moisture-wicking, customizable and comfortable with or without socks. "We feel that sustainable innovation and developments in technology to create products for superior athletic performance and lower environmental impact are the way of the future," says Mike Baker, SOLE founder and CEO. Reebok's Stabilize Insoles are designed for everyday use, athletic shoes, running and walking and offer low to neutral arch support. The insoles feature a Zonal Grip Anti-Slip Texture and massaging gel domes at forefoot and heel. "Aftermarket insoles that are more aligned in geometry with those they are replacing will be the most impactful [in 2018]," says John McCallum, VP–technical sales for Reebok Performance Insoles. "Regardless of features, those whose geometry do not align with OEM brands sockliner measurements will continue to suffer fitting issues." Powerstep's Pulse Sport 3/4 insoles, MSRP $30.95, are designed for use in athletic shoes during rigorous physical activities. They have a semi-rigid external support shell with top layer cushioning for support in a slimmer three-quarter length. Available at specialty retail. Sorbothane's Ultra Plus insoles feature a deep heel cup for support, a lightweight integrated arch for stability and the comfort and protection of a Sorbothane Heel Pad and extended Sorbothane Forefoot Pad. Sorbothane material can absorb up to 94.7 percent of damaging impact shock before it enters the body. Storelli Sports SpeedGrip Insoles, MSRP $39.99, help prevent rolling ankles and foot slippage. The brand's injury-preventing protection gear is worn by international soccer stars Jesse Lingard, Iker Casillas and Oscar and César Azpilicueta. The Spenco brand has a long heritage in the insole category, bringing comfort and support solutions to the end user's specific needs for over 50 years. Beyond insoles, the new Spenco Plantar Sleeve, MSRP $14.99, will launch at retail in May. "We have a strong connection with our customers and believe each and every product we develop is leading the innovation effort in the foot care accessory category," says Drew Davies, EVP & GM of specialty accounts. Hickies Laces, an alternative to the traditional shoelace, aim to combine functionality, customization and aesthetics in one package. The product works for any brand of shoe that has eyelets or loops in a variety of colorways starting at $18, making it a universal product. In the past year the brand launched a limited collection with Swarovski Crystals, while also teaming with luxury brand Koio Capri on a sneaker pre-laced with Hickies laces made with Swarovski Crystals. On the performance front, the brand's 1.0 and 2.0 laces are used for casual and performance options. Hickies sponsors multi-sport athlete, Eduardo della Maggiora, an Ironman competitor, who placed first in 2017's Ironman 70.3 Peru. Della Maggiora wears the Performance Lacing System 2.0 during his training as well as during competition. Boa's run-specfic Boa System integrates dial features specific to specific product needs. One of several products and brands integrating Boa into its run offerings is Under Armour with its new Fat Tire 3 shoe. The UA trail shoe features Boa's trail-specific L6 dial built to withstand mud, dirt and elements. The L6 trail dial also features a molded shape that allows for a good grip in a wet or muddy environment. Lock Laces, MSRP $7.99, are a one-size-fits-all for children and adults. Their patented double eyelet design technology reduces slippage and holds the lacing system securely in place while increasing blood flow in the foot and reducing pressure points on the top of the foot. Caterpy Laces, MSRP $10, are no-tie shoelaces that use elastic bumps to hold custom tension between the eyelets. Shoes become slip-ons that enhance blood circulation to the feet by removing pressure points. Xtenex X-hybrid – Xlaces, MSRP $9.95, are "no-tie" shoelaces designed for performance, fit, comfort and reliability. The X-hybrid offers a lacing design that pulls through the eyelets with ease and regulates the dialed-in compression fit set between each eyelet which provides a fully customized fit.
