A gifted student athlete, Vincent played three years on his high school basketball team. Following his U.S. Army discharge, he received basketball scholarship offers from the University of Washington and the University of Miami. He ultimately decided to enter the workforce but still plays competitively with his son in Miami leagues and on weekends with a roster of teammates that includes former NBA stars. "My competitiveness is what's served me well in propelling me to succeed in my business today," Vincent says. "Basketball has remained an important part of who I am today and brings balance to a busy life of work and fam- ily responsibilities." He shares his love of the sport with his son, Alexander, who also credits his professional drive and success to the sport. "Applying what I learned and experienced in my basketball career to the medical field is an advan- tage and blessing moving forward in my professional career," he says. The Carmonas' love of basketball is also evident in the professional partner- ships Serenity Home Health Care has formed with out- side organizations, including the Miami Heat and Ronald McDonald House. says.
