Man Up—Make Your Appointment.
DO YOU DRINK UP?
Are you apt to drink more than five alcoholic beverages during
one sitting at least once a week? That's considered binge
drinking, and it may mean it's time to talk with your healthcare
provider. Your physician can help.
"Binge drinking can lead to alcoholism," says Sue Anne Meyer, MD,
internal medicine physician with Milestone Medical Group.
"Men who drink should limit their daily intake to no more
than two shots of hard liquor, two five-ounce glasses of wine,
or two 12-ounce beers."

Help is also available when it's time to quit smoking. Your physician
can guide you to the most appropriate resources for you.
"With tobacco, studies have shown men who have tried quitting
before and failed end up being more successful subsequently,"
Dr. Meyer says. "Whether it's medication or other tobaccocessation products, I try to tailor every patient's treatment
to his lifestyle."
You can contact Dr. Meyer at Milestone Medical Group,
720.652.5011, to discuss quitting.
