We are assembling the best and brightest minds in pediatric medicine to put our children first. In collaboration with Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children's Hospital, we have already added more than 55 Baylor College of Medicine faculty members to our outstanding private practice physicians, anticipating more than 100 pediatric faculty positions by the end of 2013. It's a construction project in action. Interior demolition is almost complete — units have been relocated to make way for the construction of new patient rooms and treatment areas. Right now, exterior construction is underway to modify the main building for energy efficiency. Interior construction will soon follow and proceed floor by floor, so our patients and families experience no interruption in care. The finished product will include the best in pediatric care and treatment: • 200 private patient rooms with space for families • New, dedicated spaces for treatment, education, recreation, and research • 12 operating rooms specifically designed to meet children's needs • Dedicated emergency room for children, with plans to elevate it to Level 1 Trauma status We're proud of what we're building in downtown San Antonio and know you will be too.
