LUKE'S UNIVERSITY HEALTH NETWORK Robert Dolansky Jr., DO, was recently sworn in as President of the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association (POMA), a statewide organization for physi - cians holding the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. During his one-year term, Dr. Dolansky will represent more than 5,000 physicians and 2,000 student physi - cians throughout the state. His duties will include the development of POMA's posi - tions on pending medical-related legislation, speaking at state legislature committee meetings, visiting Pennsylvania's two os- teopathic medical schools and encouraging physician involvement in POMA activities. In addition to his POMA responsibilities, he serves as Director of Osteopathic Medical Education of St. Luke's University Health Network, Director of Medical Education at St. Luke's Allentown Campus, and Medical Director of St. Luke's walk-in care centers, including St. Luke's Care Now centers in Wind Gap and Allentown. He is also Co- director of St. Luke's Family Health Center in Allentown. In addition to his administra - tive duties, he still sees patients. St. Luke's University Health Network has been awarded a grant from phar - maceutical supporter Merck to serve as the lead sponsor-investigator on a multisite Investigator-initiated Trial to study the health-related quality of life of melanoma patients receiv - ing interferon therapy.
