Dear Mr. Gribbin, My name is Jason Garced and my wife, Chandra, and I welcomed our beautiful daughter, Brianna Marie Garced into this world in April at CentraState Medical Center. I must say that we were quite impressed with how attentive and helpful your maternity staff was. Your entire staff, from housekeeping to the nurses, all had positive energy and positive attitudes that simply made our experience more than enjoyable. My wife and I wanted to take this opportunity to thank your entire staff by writing this letter and letting them all know how pleased we are with them and to continue doing what they do, and that's excellent customer service and excellent patient care! No words can express how grateful we are to have been able to share our wonderful experience with your staff. If and when my wife and I decide to have another child, there is no doubt in my mind that we will be back at CentraState for another wonderful experience. Community Voices… Breast Cancer Awareness Month has become a nationwide phenomenon over the past decade, with displays of pink appearing seemingly everywhere, but awareness alone isn't enough. According to the National Cancer Institute, about 232,670 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women in 2014, and 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with cancer of the breast during their lifetime. It is strongly encouraged that every woman over age 40 (as well as younger women with a family history of breast cancer) receives annual mammography screenings, because early detection is the best defense against this disease, with a 98 percent 5-year survival rate for women when breast cancer is detected early. The Comprehensive Breast Care Program at CentraState offers state-of-the-art services, expertise, and technology for detecting, diagnosing, treating and helping patients recover from breast cancer.
