Dr. Oz Visits CentraState
On August 23, Dr. Mehmet Oz visited CentraState Medical
Center and met with the hospital's local community members to
learn about their health issues and top-of-mind health concerns.
Dr. Oz is kicking off his daytime talk show's sixth season with a
"Bringing Healthy Back" theme and is on a bus tour videotaping
segments to air on upcoming episodes.
Looking for a hospital in the central Jersey/Jersey Shore area
to make a stop, the producers of "The Dr. Oz Show" were
impressed by CentraState's website, so they contacted our
public relations department to arrange the visit.
Around 100 CentraState employees, physicians and community
members participated in the event.
Dr. Oz spent about two hours discussing health issues with
some of our staff, played soccer and demonstrated how to
do pushups with kids, and toured the Star and Barry Tobias
Ambulatory Campus. He posed for several photos and signed
autographs, making sure everyone in attendance got to meet
him. He left impressed with our operation and the wonderful
people who work here.
The segment featuring CentraState aired in September. The
following are some candid shots taken by the day's participants.
