No one likes waiting around in an Emergency Department when they're
sick or injured. When you arrive and a bed is available, you will be
immediately placed in a bed, rapidly assessed, and seen based on your
symptoms. If a bed is unavailable, you will be triaged and evaluated based
on your symptoms.
Checking the ER Wait Time before you go can give you an idea of how
long the wait is at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. The ER Wait Time is
a four-hour rolling average updated every 30 minutes.
The wait time is defined as the time of patient arrival until the time a
patient is greeted by a medical professional.
"Our goal is to begin treatment as quickly as possible," says Mark Sloan, MD, Medical Director
of the Emergency Department. "Our publicized average ER wait times allow us to be transparent
to the communities we serve."
