KISHHEALTH SYSTEM'S "THIS ONE'S FOR THE GIRLS" ANNUAL WOMEN'S HEALTH EVENT OFFERS A DAY
OF WELLNESS, FUN, AND BONDING FOR WOMEN OF ALL AGES.
FIVE YEARS AGO, Heidi Clements
received a publication in the mail
that featured information about
KishHealth System's "This One's
For The Girls." The event schedule
included activities for women of all
ages, including health screenings,
pampering, and shopping, plus snacks,
giveaways, and prizes. Heidi, who
is 33, thought the event presented
a great bonding opportunity she
could enjoy with her 77-year-old
grandmother, Judith Brown.
"My grandmother has four
grandsons and two great-grandsons,
and I'm her only granddaughter,"
Heidi says. "We were intrigued by the
prospect of a girls' day out that is all
about girls."
AN ANNUAL TRADITION
Heidi and Judith registered for the
event and had so much fun they
pledged to attend the event each year.
The women's health and wellness
event has become an anticipated part
of their social calendars.
"We make a day of it," Heidi says.
"We go to 'This One's For The Girls'
and then have lunch and usually
go shopping."
At the event, women can receive
breast self-exam education; body mass
index measurements; skin spot checks;
and blood pressure, blood glucose, and
depression screenings.
During the five years they've
attended the event, Heidi and
Judith have taken advantage of the
