of Infusion Nursing. Her co-researcher was Debra Pile, an Assistant Professor in Wichita State University's School of Nursing, where Mosiman earned her graduate degrees and is a member of the adjunct faculty. Mosiman and Pile are currently collaborating on another study that compares pediatric pain management practices from the 1970s to current practices through retrospective chart reviews from Wesley Medical Center and Via Christi's Wichita hospitals. WESLEY CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL WELCOMES BACK PEDIATRIC SURGEON Wesley Children's Hospital has hired pediatric surgeon Kimberly Molik, MD, to join its pediatric surgery services team. She joins fellowship-trained pediatric surgeon Mark Saxton, MD, who was hired earlier this year after Wesley Healthcare announced plans to build the $28 million children's hospital. Having previously served as Wesley's pediatric trauma services director, Dr. Molik was recruited away from Wichita in 2013 by Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. It was a new opportunity to provide surgical care for children in a dedicated children's hospital, something she hoped Wesley would soon build for the Wichita community, she said. "While I loved living in Wichita and was blessed to have so many children entrusted to my care, I couldn't resist the opportunity to work for a children's hospital," Dr. Molik says. "After seeing the exciting developments around Wesley Children's Hospital, I knew I had to come back and be part of the region's first and only hospital just for kids." Dr. Molik will again serve as the Medical Director of the state's only verified pediatric trauma center, as well as Medical Director of Wesley Children's Hospital's pediatric surgery services. Wesley announced the building of Wesley Children's Hospital earlier in 2015. Construction has already begun on the new pediatrics and pediatric intensive care units, as well as the building facade on the hospital's Hillside exterior. Construction is expected to be complete in the fall of 2016.
