When you need care quickly or after hours, an urgent care center is an effective alternative to your doctor's office — and a place to find medical services you might not expect. "The value of having an urgent care clinic in the community is not to replace primary care physicians, but to create a bridge for those times when you have an illness and can't get into your doctor's office," said Evelyn Balogun, M.D., M.P.H., medical director of Inspira Urgent Care, Occupational Health and Employee Health. "As partners in the clinical care team, it is our goal to provide the appropriate care when needed and transition a patient back to primary care for ongoing management. We are able to utilize various systems such as our electronic health record system to improve efficiency of information sharing but also make direct contact with other providers when appropriate." Inspira Urgent Care clinics also provide more than treatment for minor injuries and illnesses. Patients can also find: 1. Immunizations. Get a variety of vaccinations, including the flu shot. 2. Occupational health. Inspira Urgent Care Vineland provides drug tests, Department of Transportation exams, work-related health screenings, injury treatment and management, and employee education. 3. Specialized pediatric physicals. Need a back-to-school or pre-participation (sports) physical? Get one at any location, no appointment necessary. 4. Travel consultations. Those traveling abroad can visit Inspira Urgent Care Vineland for travel immunizations and other health-related information they may need. This service will expand to all Inspira Urgent Care clinics by the end of the year. 5. X-rays.
