The Fire Ants aren't new to the Fargo Park District Adaptive Softball League, as they just nished o their fourth year together. But this year was extra special, since they showed o new jerseys, thanks in part to CHI Friendship's continued support. "When CHI Friendship donated jerseys this year, it was more than a one-time gift. It shows just how much they believe in the future of this team," said Emily Rundquist, who is part of the Fargo Day Support team at CHI Friendship and a Fire Ants coach. "From June to August, I spend my Tuesday nights stepping onto the eld with Peter and the rest of the Fire Ants. It's something I look forward to every week." PLAY BALL As team captain and catcher, Peter encourages his teammates to do their best and joins the umpire in calling strikes, balls, and outs. For the last four years, Peter's leadership and positivity has done more than inspire his teammates. It has brought the community outside on summer nights to relax, kick back, and have fun together. And that deserves its own round of applause. "As Veterans Day approaches, there is no better time to recognize our employees who serve, have served, or have family members in the armed forces," said Dori Leslie, Vice President of CHI Friendship. "We know serving is a sacrice for all of them. We're so thankful to our service members and veterans for keeping us and all Americans safe."
