There, she spearheaded the development of the first nationally accredited breast center in southern Arizona—one of only three in the state. She is currently helping LUH's breast care program earn the same national accreditation. Dedicated to improving women's health, and breast health in particular, Dr. Tynan creates individualized treatment plans for each patient, based on national guidelines as well as each woman's particular pathology, personal risk factors and individual wishes. "Imaging is truly the gateway to breast healthcare," Dr. Tynan says. "Care starts with these doctors, and both are fantastic. They are the ones who detect abnormalities, help women in our community find problems they may not have known about and jump-start the treatment process."
