Consult your physician before undertaking any form of medical treatment or adopting any exercise program or dietary guidelines. Inspiration at the End of the Day by Emmy B. Take a moment for yourself as you wrap up a busy day and enjoy these positive thoughts from a Sacred Heart colleague. Recently, I went on a weekend getaway with a couple of friends. We, of course, gravitated toward some of the local, “artsy” gift shops (as well as coffee shops and bakeries!). One friend said she was looking for a sun hat because she had become allergic to sunscreen and burned rather easily. She said she really didn’t want to have to resort to wearing hats when she was outdoors, but felt she didn’t have much of a choice. My other friends and I told her she needed to “embrace the hat!” So, we helped her choose an adorable, floppy, sea green-colored sun hat, which she happily wore the rest of the weekend. “Embrace the hat” quickly became our mantra for the entire weekend! I began to think about how often I begrudgingly do things I’d rather not have to do. Instead, maybe I need to lighten up and be more like my friend, looking for the positives in the situation. Note to self: Always remember to “embrace the hat.” For more “Inspiration at the End of the Day…,” visit sacredhearteauclaire.org/spirit-of-women.
