A cookbook has been created by the Unity Health Foundation and Healthy Women of Unity, who teamed up to celebrate sharing meals and making memories as a community. Highlighting foods and flavors from the Unity Health community, this cookbook is full of recipes with healthy options, home-cooked meals, appetizers, desserts and more. Unity Health Foundation is excited to announce a new organization to White County: Healthy Women of Unity. This group is composed of women, striving to empower themselves and others with the knowledge and confidence to make informed healthcare decisions. This Unity Health Foundation resource will provide events and activities for women in the community to learn how to better care for themselves and their loved ones. Healthy Women of Unity is open to women of all ages who are advocates for Unity Health and want to support healthcare in our community. Below is a list of the annual membership options. • $40 – Standard Membership • $25 – Senior Membership (65 & over) • $25 – Junior Membership (24 & younger) • $25 – Unity Health Associate Membership All membership dues tax-deductible. Members will be invited to special Healthy Women of Unity events throughout the year centered on health education, designed to maintain a healthy mind, body and spirit. Members will also receive a periodic newsletter keeping them informed about how helping Unity Health provides quality healthcare to the communities we serve. Unity Health Announces This summer, the Unity Health Foundation announced the 2017 Foundation Scholarship recipients at the annual Auxiliary Awards Luncheon. Executive Director, Cassandra Feltrop presented scholarships of $1,000 each to students during the ceremony. Students and their families were able to attend the luncheon to receive their scholarships and funds for the scholarships were given by the Unity Health — White County Medical Center Auxiliary.
