Unity Health Searcy locations NEW LIFE CENTER CLASSES BREASTFEEDING CLASS Oct. 16, Nov. 20, Dec. 18 3214 E. Race Ave. in Searcy 3 South Conference Room, 6:30 to 9 p.m. A lactation consultant will discuss establishing a good milk supply and latching and positioning techniques. Class fee: $10. To register, call (501) 380-1260. CHILDBIRTH & BABY BASICS CLASS Oct. 5, 12, 19 Nov. 3, 10, 17 Dec. — No classes 3214 E. Race Ave. in Searcy Hubach Conference Center Rooms B & D, 6 to 9 p.m. An experienced New Life Center registered nurse will cover topics that may include the stages of labor, relaxation and breathing techniques, pain management, and care of newborn, etc. Class fee: $10. SIBLING CLASSES Nov. 21 Hubach Conference Center Room C, 6 to 7:30 p.m. This class is designed for children ages 2 to 12 years to prepare for their roles as older brothers or sisters. PRENATAL YOGA Every Tuesday night from 6 to 7 p.m. 3214 E. Race Ave. in Searcy Annex Building (corner of Hartsfield Drive and Hawkins Street, across from the Emergency Department entrance in Searcy) This is a specially designed yoga class for expectant mothers in any trimester. REFRESHER CHILDBIRTH CLASS Scheduled as needed. 3214 E. Race Ave. in Searcy This refresher class is available for those who have been through the birthing process. AARP DRIVE SMART COURSE Oct. 7, Nov. 9 Hubach Conference Center, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Cost: $15 for AARP members and $20 for nonmembers. DIABETES SELF'MANAGEMENT EDUCATION CLASSES Sept. 12, 19, 26 The Diabetes Center (3214 E. Race Ave.), 4 to 7:30 p.m. The Diabetes Center is dedicated to improving the education and care of people living with diabetes through 10 hours of classroom instruction and personalized training. DIABETES SUPPORT GROUP Oct. 2, Nov. 6, Dec. 4 Hubach Conference Center Rooms B & D, 5 p.m. The $5 fee for each session includes a meal; the meeting is free if you do not get the meal.
