MERCY MEDICAL CENTERCENTERVILLE has implemented new wireless digital radiography devices to enhance the quality and accessibility of diagnostic imaging for providers as they care for the community. "This wireless tablet allows all of our devices that take basic X-rays of the chest, abdomen, arms and legs to be captured in a direct digital format and transmitted directly from the bedside to radiologists in Des Moines for interpretation," says Kevin Bradley, RTR, CT, RDMS, RDCS, RVT, CNMT, Director of Radiology Services at Mercy-Centerville. "This format allows us to obtain better-quality images and transmit those images via secure email links." The Canon CXDI-701C Wireless, portable DR system — the heart of this new technology — produces high-resolution images in a way that's more ecient and customer-focused than previous models. "We're dedicated to providing our patients with the safest, most up-to-date technologies we can," Kevin says. "By bringing this new equipment to the community, our patients don't have to travel to distant facilities to get the kind of care they expect and deserve."
