The food was wonderful and the games were entertaining, but everyone agrees the very best part of the events was the fellowship the CHI Friendship community experienced by spending the day with family, friends, and staff members. "I helped set up the Fargo picnic, and I got to enjoy the Grafton Picnic with my family," said Michael Mackey, a person supported by CHI Friendship. "This was the first time I've been to a Family Day Picnic with my family. It was great to see them experience it for the first time." "It's about relationships—participating in the picnic as a family or with friends," said Leslie. "The interaction between each person we support and their loved ones is priceless to see—the affection and relationships they have with one another is just simply breathtaking." Stay tuned for news about the 2018 CHI Friendship Family Day picnics planned for next summer. FAR GO CONTINUED FROM PAGE 3 "How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!" —Psalm 133:1 "Once again, this is God's work. For you to put all this together for us families is wonderful. Thank you to all the staff. It truly matters." "I look forward to this event every year." CHI FRIENDSHIP /// chifriendship.com 4
