improving Productivity and Profitability ... Freeing the Provider to Do More H eaLTh care facILITIes and health pla ns require more a nd more information, presenting physicians and other providers with myriad necessary administrative duties. We spoke with Vicki Bond, CPMSM, M.H.S., Chief Operating Officer of Medical Provider Resources (MPR) to find out how Kansas health care providers leverage tools in administrative management. Q What services do you offer that are crucial to providers moving to the state of Kansas to practice? A: When a provider is new to the state, it is crucial they have secured the fundamental documents of licensures, including state license to practice, DEA [Drug Enforcement Administration] licensure to prescribe medications and liability/malpractice insurance coverage. MPR can help secure these documents for the provider, making a transition to practice in Kansas a seamless event. We also assist the provider in enrollment in different health plans such as Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Medicare, Medicaid, Coventry Health Care, etc. for payment.
