Shed Less is a process that combines yarn construction, knitting, chemistry, and manufacturing to reduce home laundry fiber fragment shedding by an average of 85%. The brand's iconic Polartec 200 Series Fleece will be the first fabric to receive the new tech. e Shed Less process works by engineering the loed fibers that give fleece its so hand the ability to resist breaking and rubbing off during home laundering, cited as one contributing factor to the spread of fibers fragments (commonly referred to as microfibers). Polartec says Shed Less Fleece still maintains all of its attributes — it is lightweight, breathable, and warm, with soness and hand feel. e brand used the AATCC (American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists) TM212-2021 test method for fiber fragment release during home laundering. is test was conducted with large sample sizes to account for variability. e testing concluded that Shed Less Fleece reduced fiber fragment shedding by an average of 85% compared to the baseline fabric. n Adding to a product line that already included the popular EQUINOX 600 and EQUINOX 800 metal detectors, Minelab is leveling up with the new EQUINOX 700 and 900. e next-generation EQUINOX 700 ($699) and EQUINOX 900 ($1,099) All-Terrain All-Target detectors both feature High-Resolution Target IDs, enhanced Target Separation, and IP68 Waterproof rating to 5 M (16 FT). More high-resolution Target IDS help detectorists better distinguish between trash and treasure. Products in the EQUINOX Series are designed for treasure hunting enthusiasts looking for a high-performance detector without the high cost. e new submersible EQUINOX 700 and 900 All-Terrain detectors are rated IP68, providing improved waterproof performance to 5 meters (16 .). And both models have five Audio Modes with user-configurable options so "the sound of treasure has never been clearer." Detectorists will not only hear if a target is trash or treasure, but they'll also be able to gauge its size and depth simply by listening.
