n early March, Deckers Brands offi-
cially launched AHNU, a brand with
an emphasis on style and innovation.
e brand, from the teams behind UGG
and HOKA, had been teased for months by
Deckers execs as an upcoming "super sneaker
brand." AHNU is described as "fusing the
benefits of high-performance technology
with timeless style craed for all-day wear."
While Deckers is technically launching
AHNU as a new brand, the brand name
itself is not new. e outdoor-focused brand
AHNU was acquired by Deckers in 2009,
and was eventually folded in 2018. Deckers
is now using the trademark rights to AHNU
to relaunch it in a new form.
e first new product from AHNU is the
Sequence 1 sneaker, which has a vintage
silhouette combined with performance
materials. Made to be an all-day type of
sneaker, it features high rebound, durable
PEBA foam, and even has a responsive car-
bon-fiber plate designed to allow wearers to
"comfortably roll through their day, every
day." e AHNU Sequence 1 is a limited
capsule and is available in low, mid, and high
silhouettes (MSRP $225, $240, and $255,
respectively). AHNU sneakers are currently
available at select premium retailers in the
New York marketplace and online. n
