Important notice: CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – Alamo Heights is a separately licensed hospital which accepts all major commercial health plans, managed care PPOs and HMOs, self pay, and private pay insurance plans. This facility is not certified or licensed to accept governmental plans (e.g. Medicare, Medicaid, Champus, Tricare, etc.). CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System is pleased to welcome these physicians to our medical staff. During this sacred season, when we reflect on family and friends, and reach out to others with open hearts and generous spirits, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa is blessed to receive thoughtful donations from many friends. The Friends of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Foundation and the Children's Hospital of San Antonio Foundation exist to support the healing ministry of the adult CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospitals and the Children's Hospital of San Antonio. The purpose of both foundations is to raise funds so that children and adults may have the opportunity of healing and the possibility of hope. In all seasons, these two gifts — healing and hope — are treasured and so needed. Through the work of volunteer leaders on the Foundation Boards and engagement with the larger community of men and women in South-Central Texas, funds are raised to support: • Advocacy for all, especially those who are poor — poor in spirit, poor in health, poor in financial resources • Education for future health care professionals • Excellence in care • Pioneering research "People who have a spirit of abundance share what they have, little or much, so that others may receive care," says John Bel, Vice President and Chief Development Officer for CHRISTUS Santa Rosa. "Every gift is significant when given with an open heart and willing hand. We are, and have been, richly blessed by so many good and generous friends. As a result, lives are saved and people return to good health. Our doctors, nurses, and caregivers appreciate this partnership of the community in our mission of service." Gifts come in many shapes and sizes, from memorial and honor gifts, to one-time donors and monthly donors. Also, gifts as part of a will or estate plan can be a lasting legacy. "All gifts express a sense of commitment and purpose to the people and world around us," John says. "They are a measure of engagement and concern for all persons and our shared community."
