Highway 75 North and 210 West 2 "As many businesses in our area compete with other cities for employees and jobs, having a strong medical system in the Wahpeton and Breckenridge area is important," Carter says. "Access to convenient care helps everyone—from our friends and families to our neighbors and coworkers." Carter and his wife began giving two years ago at the annual HarvestFest. At this past year's event, the community donated nearly $50,000 toward new surgical suites at CHI St. Francis Health. "Contributing to the Harvest Fest event is one small way we could give back—and I encourage others to consider giving to the Foundation if they haven't before," Carter says. "No matter the amount or frequency, anything they can do helps the Foundation bring in the latest technologies and equipment." Giving back has never been easier. Visit www.sfcare.org and select "Foundation" to read other donor stories like Carter Hansen's or learn more about ways you can impact health care in the community for years to come. Keeping Care Local: You Can Help! Carter Hansen, a manufacturing employee from Wahpeton, North Dakota, is grateful for the medical services CHI St. Francis Health provides the community —and that's why he's proud to give back. Milnor Clinic, a part of CHI St. Francis Health, is approaching its 30th anniversary. Brenda Rick, APRN, FNP, nurse practitioner, and the clinic's staff are continuing a proud legacy of providing primary and acute care to the residents of Milnor, North Dakota, and sparing them the hassle of leaving town for medical services. Brenda sees patients of all ages, from infants and children needing wellness exams to adults and seniors requiring management of chronic diseases, such as diabetes and high blood pressure. "Our community is small, and the staff and I get to know patients," Brenda says. "Often, I'll remember why someone came in last time, or I'll recall an individual's family medical history because I know his or her family. Patients value the personal relationships we form with them." Milnor Clinic offers a variety of services, including: • Electrocardiograms • Flu and tetanus shots • Laboratory test draws • Physical exams, including well-woman exams, commercial driver's license physical exams, and sports physicals • Treatment for respiratory and gastrointestinal infections and other illnesses • X-rays "We love caring for everyone," Brenda says. "Our patients will be able to depend on us for many years to come." To schedule an appointment at Milnor Clinic, call 701-427-5300. The clinic is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Medical Care You Can Always Count On Thanks to Milnor Clinic, great medical services are closer than you think.
