TESTIMONIAL "I can recommend Architectural DesignWorks without reservation. Gary Canner was architect of record for renovations on our home in Hawai'i that included a room addition and later a large two-story deck. Because our home is built on a steep hill, both projects involved engineering analysis and city approvals beyond the norm. Gary was intimately involved from start to finish. Architectural drawings were created in a timely manner with great attention to every detail. Gary was extremely flexible as we made design changes before and during construction. Gary managed the contractor professionally and with ease, overseeing the projects on a near-daily basis. Both projects were completed on schedule and with little fuss or bother, all thanks to Gary's meticulous attention to detail from start to finish. As a result, we could not be happier with the end products and highly recommend Architectural DesignWorks and Gary Canner to anyone seeking the best in architectural services for any project, large or small." — JOHN BAUGHMAN KAUAI PERFORMING ARTS THEATER Unique design features of this proposed theater consist of the backstage exterior wall that is operable, allowing the stage to be viewed simultaneously from both the interior and exterior sides. The interior contains traditional, auditorium-style seating and the exterior contains lawn-style seating. In the open position, the back wall can now be used as an integral part of the stage set, allowing dramatic views of the mountains in the background. SHETLAND PARK This property once housed the Naumkeag Steam Cotton Company, site of the first steam-powered textile mill in the country. Burning down in the Great Salem Fire of 1914, the buildings were rebuilt to what is seen here today. The Park accommodates a variety of uses including office space, research and develop- ment, warehouse and storage.
