DEAR PHYSICIANS: Two of our top priorities at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital are to provide high- quality and patient-centered pediatric care. We appreciate the trust you have in us to meet the level of excellence you expect when you refer patients to our care. Our world-class team of physicians, scientists, nurses and researchers embraces this tremendous responsibility and is dedicated to helping all those in need. The stories you will read in this issue of Leading Care magazine highlight a few of the many initiatives reflecting our commitment to children here and everywhere. Read about our aliation with Florida Hospital in Hillsborough, North Pinellas and Pasco counties, which enables us to expand our reach beyond the walls of our main campus, while providing a high standard of health care to children in the neighborhood where they live. You will also read about our growing investment in our LifeLine program, which upgrades our transport capabilities and response times. These coordinated, collaborative initiatives support our emerging role as a leader in children's health. We believe that no matter where our patients are, having accessibility to high-quality patient care is crucial for success in terms of healing. I understand our goals are ambitious, and when we achieve them children benefit—locally, throughout our system and throughout the world. So thank you for being an ally in delivering hope to children and their families. Your partnership makes all the dierence. Sincerely, Jonathan Ellen, M.D. President, CEO & Physician-in-Chief Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital Vice Dean and Professor of Pediatrics Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Fall 2016 3 President's Letter
