Have you been professionally fi tted
for a bra? If not, there's a good chance
you're wearing the wrong size.
Cope with grief after pregnancy loss.
Get Fit(ted)
A professional fi tting may seem like a hassle, but
it reduces health problems that may arise from an
improperly fi tting bra, like muscle tension, back
pain, neck and shoulder issues, headaches — even
your posture.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT BRA
Most department stores have professional fi tters.
Your physician can recommend resources, as well.
After you've been sized, it's time to fi nd the best
bra. Sometimes the process can be confusing and
frustrating. Fortunately, you're covered.
– Avoid cups that bunch or fold. If they do, you
should go down a cup size. Conversely, if you
have spillover anywhere, it's time to go up a size.
– Find a bra that feels most comfortable on the
middle hook. Eventually, thanks to wear, your
bra will stretch — when this happens, you can
use the last hook to keep wearing it.
– Remember your ribs. The piece between the
cups, called the gore, should rest fl at against
your ribs. If it lifts off your skin, try going up
a size.

Love, Loss and
What to Say
Managing life after miscarriage or stillbirth may seem
unbearable. These practices can help you or a loved one
work through the grief.
– Write it down. Journaling can be a powerful way
to express complicated emotions. Putting anger,
confusion and fear on the page can help sort
out feelings.
– Lean on a support system. Talking with counselors
or other families with similar losses can relieve
feelings of isolation.
– Simply be there. If a loved one has experienced
a similar loss, express your concern by offering an
attentive ear or a comforting presence. Let them
express grief on
their terms.
– Remember the love. Healing is possible, but it takes
time. Embrace life again with activities that honor
your experience.
