Michael recalled: "This client, who was near and dear to us, suffered from ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). We were able to customize the home — not only to his exacting specifications concerning its style and floor plan but also to facilitate his everyday lifestyle needs as a handicapped person. To that end, we installed easily accessible elevators, zero-entry thresholds and special bathrooms, as well as a complex 'Peak' system to permit effortless operation of doors, windows and other elements of the house. He couldn't be happier with the results, and, frankly, neither could we." PHOTOGRAPHER: DAN CUTRONA COVER FEATURE | Greater Boston Builder+Architect BOSTON.BUILDERARCHITECT.COM
